Many of you will be familiar with the inspiring story of Twestival, As the worlds largest global grassroots social media fundraising initiative to date, volunteers have raised close to $1.2 million for 137 nonprofits since 2009. All local events are organized 100% by volunteers; 100% of all ticket sales & donations go direct to projects. This year Twestival is going 'Local' in cities around the world on Thursday 24 March 2011. Events for Twestival Local will raise funds and awareness for local nonprofits that organizers identify for having an incredible impact within their own community. 

ammado is honoured and excited to have been chosen as Global Fundraising Partner for Twestival2011. We will be supporting Twestival fundraising efforts across Asia, Africa, Australia, the Middle East, South and Central America and most of Europe.

You will find the official list of cities participating in Twestival here. Many cities have yet to choose the local nonprofit for which they will fundraise! Check the Twitter page of your local city (eghttp://www.twitter.com/paristwestival) to see if organizers there are accepting nominations.

There will be many more events added to the list before registration closes on March 10th. If your city is not on the map consider encouraging your supporters to get involved and organise their own Twestival Local event. City registration can be found here along with FAQs.
